After washing it for the first time, the stitching fall off horribly. Haven't had something like this happened before, not even on really cheap clothes. I thought UA should provide at least a certain level of quality. :P
After only having for about a month, logo and other stitching began coming apart and falling off
As a fan of under armour gear and as a conscientious consumer, I appreciate those who put up reviews on their UA purchases, as it helps the UA community learn and make educated decisions on what products to buy and/or avoid.
That said I feel a personal obligation to provide feedback for UA and the community when I buy UA products.
About these UA basketball shorts, I bought all 5 colorways starting thru july 2017 to the beginning of august 2017.after wearing the shorts for a few weeks, I got mixed feelings. After finding the inseam is not 12” I still decided to keep them for workout purposes and lounging in the house. They’re too short in my opinion to wear out and about on the street…I’m not into the 1980’s look. (meaning short shorts) I was expecting the shorts to go over or cover some/most of the knee.
-sturdy, solid waistband and drawstring. Holds up pretty good.
-deep pockets to store keys, phone, etc
-beautiful, classy style design, no outlandish circles, lines/symbols
-nice fabric, breezy, dries quick after wash or sweating, being 100% polyester, it shouldn’t shrink at all
-best colors in order: royal, red, white, black and graphite
-be careful with getting scratches or stuff caught…with the material used it will cause runs and snags. Take good care of these shorts and they should last for many years.
-be careful with the white shorts…do not wear bright colored underwear like orange or brite blue, or it will see-thru.
-the other colors (red, black, blue and graphite) had no see-thru issues.
-This is not a 12”inseam!!
-considering these shorts were rolled out in late 2015/early 2016, UA should have caught the measurement mistake and fixed it.
My Measurements of UA baseline shorts:
Color/ inseam (crotch intersecting stitch point to bottom of hem)
/Outseam (top of short to bottom hem)
Black 10/22 inch
Royal 9.5/21.5 inch
White 9.5/22 inch
Red 9.5/22 inch
Graphite 9.5/22 inch
Summary: nice shorts, would have been perfect if they really were a 12” inseam. If you’re okay your knees showing, with a smaller than 12” inseam then go for it.
UA, for next time, make a short like this and make sure it's actually a 12'' inseam, it'll sell better and you'll have more happy customers!
Very nice shorts that seem like a good quality material that will last. I use them mostly for running because of the deeper pockets which are perfect for your cell phone staying put. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
These shorts were purchased for at home lounging. They are pretty much what was expected. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
This product is comfortable. Good for running and gym [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
As the other reviews state, these are too short, and they are tighter than normal. UA you really need to fix the description of this product. No chance these are a 12 inch inseam, I'd say 10 or 9 inch at least.
Also the sweat goes right through these, which isn't typical of gym pants.
Website says 12" inseam, but when receiving the shorts they have a 10" inseam. Very disappointed when these were not long enough for my 6'5 husband. UA needs to change the info on the website to match the product customers receive.
Received my shorts and the tag on the shorts says 10" inseam. They definitely fit like a 10" inseam. Very disappointed UA.
These shorts look nice and are a good material, but I will be returning mine. At 6'3 with a 32" waist, I need a 12" inseam for a comfortable fit. Right when I put these on I knew they weren't 12" because they didn't even reach the top of my knee. I took out the tape measure and they are a 10" inseam right on the dot.
UA--please change the description to say 10 inches...and I think I speak for most all the tall and trim basketball players out there when I say PLEASE make more of your basketball shorts with a 12" because there are plenty of training shorts to choose from for those that want their knees showing, but a better selection of 12" would be greatly appreciated!
