I purchased these because I was looking for another pair of running shorts with a pocket large enough to fit my iPhone XS + case. My Oiselle distance shorts also do the job with a rear zippered pocket, but I saw some other runners rocking the UA Speedpocket and thought to give them a go. I liked the material on these shorts - although a little thicker than I'm used to, it's very soft, comfortable, and durable. However even with the adjustable drawstring, they fit a little loose at the waist. I purchased them in small, which is my usual size for bottoms at UA. I was disappointed in the phone pocket. Although I concede my phone is on the large side, it did not fit comfortably in the pocket with its Pela case and felt precarious when I ran. I ended up delegating these shorts for gym use instead. Another note is the drawstring came loose in the washing machine and I'm having difficulty rethreading it in the waistband. Perhaps washing them with the ends knotted or tied together would prevent this. Overall although these shorts are comfortable and of good quality, but they didn't work for my needs. Good running shorts. Has a small pocket in the front for your phone [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Great running shorts, love the pocket in the back for my keys and the pocket in the front for my phone! Ordered a size medium, but for me slightly too big, specially around the thighs and the wind would blow it right up but that might be my mistake for ordering a med and then dropping 10 pounds and expecting them to fit the same. Over all they held up on a 13 mile run. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Speedpocket shorts are my favorite. The speedpocket feature is so easy to use and makes it much easier to change music during a run or access my phone for any reason. The pocket keeps my phone stable and protected from the elements. The shorts provide good coverage for me (I'm 5'2") but are short and loose enough in the legs to allow full range of motion. The waist would be a little too loose without the drawstring. The fabric wicks away sweat well. I own 4 pairs of speedpocket shorts because I love them so much. I absolutely love Under Armour's products and thought I would give these shorts a try... the design is perfect but the material used is terrible! It's tough and rigid and very scratchy... I much prefer a softer, stretchier material especially if they are worn running/jogging otherwise the material will just rub and irritate the skin... I really had high hopes for these shorts and will unfortunately be sending them back. It would be helpful if Under Armour could be more descriptive in terms of the fabric used
These shorts are awesome! I am using them for CrossFit. They are comfortable and feel secure doing anything I need to do: sled pulls, box jumps, running, lifting. I am 5 ft 2 in and weigh 115 lb. I ordered a small and they fit perfectly. I like the look of the shorts, too! Flattering around the waistline. I am ordering another one!
