I bought this design to keep stuff I need readily available while on long motorcycle rides. I like all the compartment separators. The zippers are sturdy and don’t work their way open at highway speeds. Was surprised that the water bottle stayed put in the outside shoe holder.
I haven’t used it in the rain yet to see if there are any issues. The only thing I would add to the compartments is a smaller iPad space, The lap top space is too deep. Also a short space just For chapstick
I have to admit I'm definitely impressed with the performance of this bag. It will expand according to my needs, and is quite durable. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Fits great, works great and looks great. What more can I say. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
My husband uses the UA Compel sling for work and it meets all expectation. His laptop and supplies fit with plenty of extra space. Perfect for work travel. Thank you Under Armor. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I have been tracking this bag for a few months and I'm surprised there are no reviews until this one. I paid for this bag and it was not given to me in exchange for a review. These are my honest opinions.
I bought the black version with light UA Logo.
I have bought and returned several sling bags trying to find something better than the one I currently use. I like to have a sling bag with me on vacations where I will be walking through the city or around a beach resort all day. The UA Compel Sling 2.0 looks like it can top my current favorite bag. The fact that it is rectangular in shape means that it can hold more than my current sling which tapers to a point at the top. The top zip pocket is lined with soft material which makes it a perfect place for phones. The outer material of the bag looks like it will hold up to light rain or wet conditions keeping the belongings safe.
Unlatching the clip gives access to a unzipped pocket that can hold items like shoes or maybe my studio beats in a case making it easy to get during flights. This pocket can easily hold two sports bottles.
I plan to use one of the two long front pockets for sunglasses in their case. Again, easy access to something I need instead of digging around inside. These front pockets have 3 pin holders in the right pocket and one internal pocket on the left side.
The main back pocket is where you can store iPads, laptops etc. There is a laptop sleeve back there and it is lined with the same soft material as the top zip pocket so it will go easy on your tablet screen. It is a nice touch in detail that I did not expect. This back pocket overall looks like it can carry everything I need for the day with room to spare. For work, plenty of room for cables, power supplies, other materials, folders, books.
The bag can expand if you need to carry more items like a beach towel, gym towels, sun screens more water bottles (kids). Expanding the bag gives access to another unzipped pocket on the right side. This pocket might hold a plastic bottle of water but is too small to hold a sports bottle from my testing.
The bag is going to get its first road trip next weekend and I'm looking forward to giving it a full day of use.
Overall: Great day bag for pool, beach, walk in city, work trip or even a cool diaper bag for new parents.
The only downfall. . . My wife has already threatened to take this as her travel bag for her work trips this year. I have a feeling I'll need the Black Full Heather version for her so I don't lose my new day bag. HELP
