Awesome lifting shoes

Was hesitant to try new shoes but really glad I made the switch. Have always lifted in converse to minimise any height and ensure I have a solid grounding when doing the big lifts: squat, dead etc. While these shoes do have a bigger sole, the are solid as a rock and I feel really grounded while lifting. They also protect the ankles much better than the converse did so there is less chance of any shakiness or rolling. The great thing about these shoes over squat specific shoes is you can wear these for the entire workout and be really comfortable.

good grip and stability, no comfort

I've had these about 2 weeks now and yes, they provide great stability and traction on gym floors, but they feel like there's no padding in the soles at all. Any running in place or jumping leaves my feet sore and I definitely need different shoes for even short runs on the treadmill. I would not recommend these if doing any jumping, running, or walking.

Good training shoe

The shoes fits well, it does seem to be a little narrow at first but it does loosen up, definitely a good training shoe.

Solid foundation but slightly uncomfortable

Run very slightly small. But they seem to wear in a little better. I had another brand that I loved but wanted to try these. These are not as comfortable. They seem to have very limited internal padding. But the shoe is moulded internally to hug the foot to the best of its ability. This has a positive effect in that the perfect foot would benefit immensely from this. But since mine run slightly wide, it squeezes the sides a bit. May need more wearing in yet. They are well constructed and have a firm foundation for almost anything Crossfit and lifting. But as there is very limited support, it will not assist flatter footed people, nor are they suited for running. But overall, great for Crossfit and short runs.

Awesome Sneakers

This is an awesome pair of sneakers, the styles are unique, the comfort of using the shoe is outstanding plus the price is very affordable.

Great stable feel and size true to other UA shoes.

Great shoe for weight training. Very firm under foot and great stability for squats. Good lateral support. I am flat footed and find these very comfortable. Not a good shoe to run in for even short distances as sole is very flat and firm. Size is true to UA - ie I am a 12 in all UA shoes and this shoe is no different.

Awesome shoe for lifting

I love the feel when lifting with these shoes in the gym I normally wear no shoes for squats but not any more Good work UA

This shoe is Awesome

Great shoe for cross training and everyday wear. The fit, the style, heal to toe drop, these shoes are the real deal!

Takes time to wear in

Measured as a size 10 US, but ordered as size 10.5 to be sure. Initially the shoes were quite tight in their width but I gave them a few workouts to be sure. They wore in and fit perfectly now. Would recommend ordering half a size bigger but don't give up on them if they feel uncomfortable initially. Perform as expected, very stable for weight training, leaves you feeling connected to the floor.

Significantly different from their predecessor.

My daughter and son-in-law gifted me with the Reign's predecessor training shoe about a year ago so that I would have plenty of stability during my weight training regimen. They provided that, but also sufficient flexibility for me to follow-up 30-minutes' brisk walk and an inclined treadmill. My dogs never barked. The TriBase Reign is significantly stiffer. That's good news for someone deadlifting umpty ump pounds and they work well for me in the weight training part of my workout. But now I must tote along a second pair of shoes for my walking regimen. One session in the Reigns and I'd blistered my Achilles tendon area and was experiencing an ache along the base of my instep. Hence my mixed-bag review. If you solely are looking for a stiff soled, stable, good looking trainer -- these are that and maybe more, I'll find out. But try walking and the dogs will growl and howl.
