I took a chance on this jacket. I typically wear outdoor brands for hiking, skiing and working. I wanted something specific for golf, designed to stay put but allow natural swing movements. First, I am 5'10" 165 lbs for reference. This jacket not only delivers on that, but looks great doing it! The elastic cuffs are soft but remain in place. The arms have the right amount of stretch. The bottom is the right amount of length for me; low enough to block wind but not too low to interfere with hip movement. UA polos are my go-to for both work and golf. This jacket has the same fit and finish I have come to love from UA. Fits perfectly in my bag side pocket. This jacket is my Go-To for cool, wet rounds on the course yet casual enough to wear to the gym or lunch meeting. Great job UA!
One of several UA soft shells that I ordered in a quest to find the perfect 3 season jacket. While I thought I wanted one with a hood and adjustable cuffs, this one has won me over. I ordered the classic black. It's a clean, sharp, light- to mid-weight softshell with just the tiniest bit of UA branding and a simple reflective trim around the zipper -- otherwise a fairly stealth piece of clothing.
Great fit -- the raglan sleeves make it fit even better than other jackets I've tried, and the body is close without being too snug. Love the bit of a drop tail for extra coverage, too. No need for adjustable cuffs, as the sleeves come to a close fit at the wrist ("compression" according to the description). Because the body isn't loose, though, layering could prove challenging.
Zip hand pockets are great, just wish there was a chest pocket too. But the end result is a sleek, trim looking jacket.
Love the infrared tech in UA cold gear, and this jacket has it, so it should be warm through a good range of temps, even without being heavy in weight.
Overall, a contender for jacket for 3 seasons. And to think, I don't even golf.
