Like the shorts, but cell pocket? No. Driver's License and Credit card, yes

I wanted a pair of unlined, move with you shorts as I start to get back into a healthier lifestyle. I bought a pair of these, even though I'd seen the reviews about the cell pocket. I figured I could stash my car key and ID, use slash pockets for phone - which is exactly what I do. Maybe it's because I'm "generously" proportioned, but I don't think so. It may also be because we put cases on our phones to protect them from accidental drops - and that adds bulk to the phones. You'll note that the HTC in the pictures is not in a case. If you're regularly running with your cell phone, what is the likelihood that you haven't put it in a case to help protect it from accidentally dropping it on the run? So, the shorts, themselves, are great - they do what I wanted the shorts to do - and I do like the side tie vs. center - some have commented on that elsewhere, too. It's more convenient and out of the center of my (for now) "sexy" Santa figure. The hidden pocket, if the goal truly is to be able to safely store your cell phone, needs more work - and a lot more space.
