No Liner?

I was very disappointed to find out that this jacket has no liner whatsoever. The inside looks and feels like a rubber rain jacket. I bought it online based on the fact it was Gore-tex. I have more than one Gore-tex garment and the comfort and performance level they have is extraordinary. This jacket is waterproof as advertised but sounds crunchy and feels like rubber. A mesh lining and nylon inner sleeves would have made all the difference.

Looks to be a great hiking jacket for multi-day trekking

This was a purchase for rain protection on longer, coastal hikes. I wanted something that was waterproof, had venting, and was light. I like the tighter hood - as I find too many jackets compromise visibility when the hood is on - this one sits a little tighter and wouldn't work with a helmet very well - but it looks to be fantastic for hiking. The inner pockets are deep and wide - perfect for a map. The jacket is light and can be easily packed - I would have liked a small pouch to have been included, but I can get one inexpensively locally.

Good Jacket, Could be great with some adjustments in design.

I live in an area that gets A LOT of rain. I wanted something that could be used as a shell, or a rain jacket when needed. I decided on this Jacket after looking at several others. I've had it on during several down pour's here in Nova Scotia and it's held up well. It offers no insulation, but will protect against the elements. I did find that the lack of elastic around the wrist Cuffs leaves little flexibility to wear gloves and have the sleeves cover the wrists. (I bought a size small). I have a shorter torso, I do find that given this, it's a bit longer than I would have liked it to be. But for a regular torso, I doubt this will be an issue. I also would have liked to have seen a 2 way zipper to provide the ability to open up the bottom when the jacket is zipped up. Pros: Comfortable. Very Light weight. Compact Weather resistant. Cons: Noisy. Thin Material. (But its a Paclite so this is kind of expected) Small hood. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
