I use this bagpack full time now. On bike. while commuting. The laptop suddenly feels so light ! It has enough compartments to store all your items. Looks to be of great quality. Great build and workmanship as well.
I've been on the hunt for a quality book bag that can withstand the massive amount of books I need for school and this hit the nail on the head. This is the best book bag I have ever had and would recommend it to ANYONE who needs a amazing book bag! Honest!
Bottom panel is robust, carry handle is solid and large enough for a gloved hand.
Size is good, holds much when stuffed but if underpacked it should fit under aircraft seat. The back panel is very stiff so it is difficult to bend.
Shoulder straps are great, well cushioned and connect to bag where it is solid, comfortable and tight against one's body. Great loop on each (a bit high but okay) where a carabiner can attache, I would like to see another. But, why a sternum strap that is not easily removed? It took some effort and a pry tool to remove and discard, I was able to remove it without damaging bag.
"Stretchy" panels seem very thin, think lycra tights. I do not expect them to retain their "stretchiness" very long, they already look loose after 2 days. They are so thin that they telegraph the shape of the held object(s). The panel in back is held by a hook that is VERY, VERY difficult to unhook. If you need to open it in the dark and/or with gloves on then I suggest a knife!
Padded laptop sleeve... Why padding?? Laptops and tablets are robust enough on their own and if I want padding then I can use an article of clothing to pad it. The padding adds unneeded bulk and weight.
Bottle sleeves are okay but same stretchy material that is thin and may not hold up. Difficult to fit a Nalgene bottle.
What I would like to see:
Sternum strap eliminated or easily removed
Robust elastic panel in back and for bottles
Bottle panels not so tight to the bag
A second loop on each shoulder strap (or more)
Rear panel hook changed
Eliminate padding for laptop and tablet
Reduce stiffness of back
Bungee cord crisscrossing the back (in process of adding my own)
I use this backpack for school I got it for the new year and I am loving it. I frequently continue to wear it while sitting in chairs because it is just that comfortable it can hold all my books, folders, and notebooks while not becoming uncomfortable and still performing. The only issue that I have with it personally is that it can be hard to pull a water bottle out and even more so to put it back into the side pockets but that might be because of how close I have it to my back.
Bag is sturdy, it is the longer length that my son needs. Super happy with purchase!
This backpack is beautifully designed. Comfortable too... My only complaint about it is that it doesn't stand on its own. The base is slanted so in order to stand it up, it need to lean on something.
