I love this crew undershirt. They are so comfortable to wear anytime
I’m 6.1, 370 lbs. I ordered the 4x and have ordered more since redwing my first order. These are the softest feeling shirts I’ve ever put on. They have a nice stretch to them when needed but don’t show any signs of stretch or wrinkles. I use them as undershirts because of how breathable they are. I can tuck them in and because of the stretch ability they never come untucked. That’s hard to find for a big guy!
This is my impression of this item straight out of the box:
- Well made and packaged.
- Feels good to the touch (initially)
- There are obviously different varieties of "Charged Cotton." One blend is 57% Cotton, 38% Polyester, 5% Elastane while the other is 47%Cotton, 47%Modal, 6%Elastane. At the time of purchase, I didn't know that and therefore didn't check the blend but that makes a HUGE difference to the feel for certain people. I prefer the blend which contains Polyester which feels much closer to authentic cotton but has the same cool comfort and quick drying traits that "Charged Cotton" is known for. I've seen other reviews which indicate folks don't like the neck crinkle. Coupled with drying on low, I think the polyester blend helps in that regard and it also resists wrinkles pretty well. That was by far the biggest issue that I had.
Again, this is just my initial take on this item. I am probably going to return it knowing what I now know about the blends and opt for the other there for I won't be providing any further experience wearing it. Sorry.
Got these to wear as an undershirt under the 1/4 zip UA long sleeve and they are high quality and fit great. True to size, low key UA logo on the bottom of the shirt, and they are fitted so it looks better with a loose fit garment on top. Also wearing these at work under my uniform.
Bought these in November, based on the good reviews, since the go to UA shirts that my husband used as undershirts in the winter, charged cotton tees, were changed. Anyway, I followed the care instructions, got out of the dryer quickly, and the collars were puckered, so I have four of these sitting in the laundry room I can’t use. I have old UA undershirts that I washed in the same load and the collars came out perfect.
Next time, can’t assume they are good because they are Under Armour and open two packages right away.
The undershirt that does exactly what is it suppose to do, be comfortable, don't wrinkle, and keep its color.
There was a prior version which felt more like Boxer-jock Heatgear material. These are not that. Fit is the same, but material probably has a touch more shrink to it due to containing cotton. The finish and weight are far superior to the major brands you'll find in multi-packs at big box stores. I've worn these as outer shirts many times and the weight is good enough for 60 degree (F) weather. There is a mild "bacon"-ing of the collar after many months of wear, but again, far superior to other cotton undershirts and tends to even back out when washed. Still a solid 5 stars.
I have some old under T-shirt’s that are perfect, but getting old. These not only matched the old ones, but might be even better! Love the cotton option, please don’t retire them again!
I purchased these for my husband, who is very picky, and he loves them. The fabric is very soft and comfortable. Snug without feeling tight or binding and long enough to stay tucked in. They wash / dry really well and hold their shape, including the neck, without getting all stretched out, which is hard to find in regular cotton undershirts.
Finally a suitable replacement for my very worn charged cotton t-shirts from years ago. I prefer the feel of cotton versus the performance fabrics. Still baffled on why there's a visible logo on the back of the neck, but it's barely visible thru a light colored dress shirt.
